Latvijas Krajbanka

About the solution

Objective:

Latvian bank, Latvijas Kràjbanka, wanted a trackable andcost-effective print solution that would deliver the securityand quality required by the banking industry.

Approach:

  • The bank engaged HP partner DocHouse and its strategic associate Hermitage Solutions to deliver a solution based around ‘print stations’ on each floor of its new Riga headquarters.
  • Offering the best price/performance ratio, HP multifunction devices are combined with a SafeCom G2 pull print solution.

IT improvements:

  • All printers are remotely managed and monitored centrally, using HP Web Jetadmin software and supplies are ordered automatically, ensuring continuity of service.
  • The solution enables staff to authenticate print using the same HID security swipe card that gives them access to the building.
  • Servicing and maintenance have been simplified.

Business benefits:

  • The cost of toner cartridges has been reduced by 20 per cent.
  • Paper costs have fallen through features like scan-to email and servicing expenses have also been cut.
  • Staff can only collect their own print which increases security for confidential documents.
  • Efficiency is increased by the ability to specify and collect print jobs from any machine on the network. The ability to track jobs gives managers a better perspective on print costs.
