About the Solution
Objective:
Imperial College London needed to upgrade its ageing print environment and find a simpler means of managing its complicated print services infrastructure.
Approach:
- Imperial College selected HP partner, DTP Group, to provide a fully integrated hardware, software and service package.
- The solution included a mix of HP mono and color Multifunction printers (MFPs), combined with SafeCom print management software.
IT improvements:
- Imperial College now has a single point of contact for all maintenance issues.
- The day-to-day management of printing in the library and across the departmental teaching buildings can now be easily handled by the College’s ICT department.
Business benefits:
- The system has been well-received by the students who find the ID card authentication and touch-screen layout easy to use.
- The comprehensive usage reporting means that the College can cross-charge departments for their use of the print and copy facilities.
