Taxi

Taking a taxi around Copenhagen is pretty efficient, when you avoid rush hour traffic. However, it is quite pricy. Here are a few approximate prices:

Public transportation

Public transportation in and around Copenhagen is efficient and a good alternative to taxis. It is a 10 - 15 minutes walk to SafeCom from the nearest train station. Metro and trains are going all the way to the airport. And all centrally placed hotels are placed near a trainstation.

Zones

Copenhagen is parted into a system of zones, and the price varies depending on your start and end zone.

Prices

You can buy one way tickets for your ride in automats at all train stations. If you are going back and forth a couple of times it might be cheaper to buy a 10 fare card, that must be punched at the statuion before you enter the train. But bear in mind that the punches must at least match the number of zones you are travelling through as described above.

Remember to travel with valid tickets! There is often control in the trains and travelling witout a ticket will cost a fee of approximately 80 EUR or 68 GBP.

Remember to travel with valid tickets! There is often control in the trains and travelling witout a ticket will cost a fee of approximately 80 EUR or 68 GBP.

Leftover fares on 10 fare cards cannot be refunded, but even with left over fares on the card it is often cheaper than buying one way tickets, and you do not have to worry about cashing a new ticket before each train ride.

From the airport to Copenhagen Centre:

  • Take the Metro (M2) to Nørreport.
  • From here you can either walk up to the street level or change to the S-train (S-tog) tracks and go one stop to Vesterport or two stops to Hovedbanegården (Central station) depending on where you are staying. All trains stop at these two stations.

OR 

  • Take the InterCity (IC) or Regional (RE) train to Hovedbanegården (Central station) and proceed from there.

From the airport directly to SafeCom:

  • Take the Metro (M2) from the airport to Vanløse (end station) (departures every few minutes).
  • Change to the high tracks.
  • Take the S-train (S-tog) LINE C direction Ballerup or Frederikssund.
    (DO NOT take line H as it does not stop at Malmparken)
    Departures every 10 minutes during daytime.
  • Get off at Malmparken and walk to SafeCom (15 minutes walk).
  • Going back you take the LINE C direction Klampenborg, change over to Metro (M2) at Vanløse and travel to the airport (end station)

From the Centre of Copenhagen to SafeCom:

  • Go to one of the central stations; typically, Hovedbanegården (Central station), Vesterport or Nørreport.
  • Take the S-train (S-tog) LINE C direction Ballerup or Frederikssund. (DO NOT take line H as it does not stop at Malmparken)
    Departures every 10 minutes during daytime.
  • Get off at Malmparken and walk to SafeCom (15 minutes walk).
  • Going back you take the LINE C direction Klampenborg.

From Malmparken Station SafeCom is just a short walk away:
